Every other horror movie seemingly deals with the undead in some way, but ghosts are a special breed. They're frequently just as pitiful as they are scary, aimless spirits who only seek to tidy up the business they left behind on Earth. However, some are malevolent, angry forces whose rage was powerful enough to tie them to the mortal plane. Some of the most notable examples are Push, Hancock and Chronicle, and while they all have their fans, none have gone on to become franchises. And now we can add a new title to that roster of not-quite-superhero superhero movies: Black Chapter. The franchise’s flesh-eating virus seems like the kind of thing that could be used to tell hundreds of different stories in sequels for years to come – so naturally, that means it’s time to scrap all that and reboot it. Bloody-Disgusting reports that sources at Cannes are telling them that a remake of the 2002 film is ready to get underway. | Learn Why One Crazy Fan Hopes to Collect Every VHS Copy of Keanu Reeves' 'Speed' Posted: 22 Apr 2014 12:00 PM PDT One of the ultimate popcorn thrillers, Jan de Bont’s Speed is white-knuckle ‘90s escapism at its finest. The premise is absurd: Keanu Reeves plays a mumble-mouthed cop who must keep a city bus speeding down the Los Angeles highways above 50 mph if he wants to stop a bomb aboard the bus from exploding. Sandra Bullock plays the wisecracking, nerve-racked passenger who is forced to take control of the wheel. The film also boasts some clever script work from Joss Whedon and a vote of approval from Quentin Tarantino — who was offered the directing spot, but turned it down to work on Pulp Fiction. | Sequel News: Check Out Updates for 'Bad Boys 3,' 'Batman vs. Superman,' 'Resident Evil 6' and More Posted: 22 Apr 2014 11:00 AM PDT Last week, Jerry Bruckheimer was busy talking about sequels to Beverly Hills Cop, Top Gun and Pirates of the Caribbean. This week, he tackles some of his other projects, most notably the Bad Boys sequel he keeps teasing us with, as well as another National Treasure movie. Bruckheimer assures Collider that both films are going to happen. The hold up with Bad Boys 3 appears to be one of scheduling. “It’s so funny because we’ll get Sony real excited to make the movie, and then Will [Smith] is off doing two movies.
