Tom Holland Says Spider-Man Will Also Be In 'Avengers: Infinity War'

Posted: 10 Jan 2017 09:00 PM PST

A few weeks ago a casting call hit the web that reported to be for Avengers: Infinity War and its currently unnamed sequel, which begin filming back-to-back in just a few weeks. The call included a huge roster of names, including some from recent movies like Doctor Strange. It did not, however, include Tom Holland's Spider-Man. This of course is far, far from a guarantee that the web crawler wouldn't be appearing in the next giant Marvel movie, but his absence was certainly curious. But if you really, really wanted to see Spidey throwing down with Captain America again or, perhaps, Thor for the first time, you're in luck. At least if the English translation of this Italian interview with Holland, picked up by ComicBook.com, is accurate. In it, Holland recalls...

Ben Affleck Could Get 'The Batman' Done Sooner If Everyone Just Stopped Asking Him About It

Posted: 10 Jan 2017 07:30 PM PST

It's impossible to be an actor involved with a blockbuster franchise and not be constantly inundated with questions about the next movie. If you're a Star Wars actor out promoting a small indie drama you did, good luck escaping questions about who Rey's parents are. Actors in superhero movies can't even read a comic book in public without fans taking pictures and trying to figure out what it all means. That's obviously part and parcel with the territory. You don't take on these high profile projects without also accepting the, well, high profile. But you do have to sympathize a bit with an actor who just wants to talk about their current project but winds up only ever getting asked about some hypothetical future movie. And it's possible no actor has it...

New 'Cars 3' Trailer Shows What Happens to Lightning McQueen After His Crash

Posted: 10 Jan 2017 03:00 PM PST

The first teaser trailer for Cars 3 sidestepped everyone's expectations. All it consisted of was Lightning McQueen getting into a gnarly car crash followed by a promise that everything would change. It wasn't exactly the smiling, big-eyed wonderment one expects from one of Pixar's more kid-oriented franchises.  But now we've got a longer trailer that shows what happens after Lightning's calamitous crash and thankfully things are looking a bit more optimistic. It's still not filled with jokes and Mater-related material that's so closely tied to the series, but it is setting up an underdog comeback story. And hey, if anyone is going to make the Rocky Balboa of anthropomorphic car movies, it's Pixar. Cars 3 hits theaters on June 16...

I feel like I’ve done enough of that that I’m more excited about working on things that are original ideas that perhaps one day someone else will have to reboot.” Abrams began his career as a...
