Ford -- are behind this well-reviewed feature, and it hits theaters on August 7.   Knock Knock Clown producer Eli Roth also has a...

DC Comics Wants Chris Pine To Be Saved By 'Wonder Woman'

Posted: 27 May 2015 08:22 PM PDT

Not too long ago there was a rumor going around that Chris Pine was up for the role of Hal Jordan, AKA the Green Lantern, in the new DC Comics cinematic universe. Hopefully you didn't get too attached to that idea, though, as it seems like there's no way that will happen considering Warner Bros. has reportedly entered negotiations with the Star Trek actor for the male lead in Wonder Woman. According to Variety, Pine is being offered the role of Wonder Woman's love interest, Steve Trevor. In the comics Trevor is an American soldier whose plane crashes on Wonder Woman's island during World War II, but we actually don't know yet if the movie version is going to be a WWII period piece or not.  All we do know for sure is that Patty Jenkins is directing, Gal...

Marvel Wants Tilda Swinton To Give 'Doctor Strange' His Powers

Posted: 27 May 2015 06:45 PM PDT

In the original Doctor Strange comics the titular character gets his mystical powers after a car crash sees him losing fine control of his own body. With modern medical science unable to heal him, Strange scours the world for alternatives and comes across a Tibetan figure known as The Ancient One that teaches him how to unlock the power of his mind. In said comics The Ancient One is basically an old Asian wizard, complete with pointy white beard, flowing clothes, and a perpetual sense that he knows more than everyone around him. In the Doctor Strange movie being directed by Scott Derrickson, however, that won't be the case. According to THR, Marvel has offered the role to none other than the brilliant Tilda Swinton. Obviously Swinton isn't anything close to an old Asian...

Yesterday, it was revealed that Sin City and Spy Kids director Robert Rodriguez has signed up to co-write and direct a live-action take on Jonny Quest. Although the original cartoon series only ran for a single season in 1964, it has firmly embedded itself in popular culture with its cast of varied adventurers creating archetypes that still exist (and are still ruthlessly parodied) to this day. But who do you cast as a the titular young explorer, his scientist father, his family's bodyguard and his adopted brother? Don't worry about casting, Mr. Rodriguez -- we've got this one.   Jonny Quest The Actor: Dylan O'Brien The Job: The intrepid boy adventurer. M. Night Shyamalan Has the Craziest Idea for an 'Unbreakable' Sequel

Posted: 27 May 2015 03:00 PM PDT

Out of all the M. Night Shyamalan movies, the one that's most ripe for a sequel is, of course, Unbreakable. Much of that has to do with the fact that Unbreakable -- about a man (Bruce Willis) who survives a devastating train crash without a scratch on him and doesn't know why -- has a rich mythology that's totally worth exploring more, especially in a moviegoing climate heavily populated by superhero stories. If anything, Unbreakable is a superhero story that stands out and already has tremendous fan support... so where's its sequel? Shyamalan has teased a follow-up over the years, and both Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson have welcomed a return to the Unbreakable universe, but so far nothing has happened. Never say never, though, and while promoting his new...

'Point Break' Remake Trailer Throws a Ton Of Money Out Of A Plane

Posted: 27 May 2015 01:30 PM PDT

As much as people complain about an endless chain of remakes, there are some stories that are so good they deserve to be retold in new ways. For example, there's Romeo and Juliet, about two star-crossed lovers from different families who get caught up in a history they wish they could escape. Or there's Point Break, about a bank robber and the cop who is brought in to take him down, only to learn that they are two sides of the same coin. Point Break has basically already been remade in the form of The Fast And The Furious, and we can all agree that worked out pretty great in the long run, but now it's officially getting a redo thanks to Equilibrium writer Kurt Wimmer and Invincible director Ericson Core. This new version stars Edgar Ramirez as the criminal Bodhi...
