Jason Statham's 3-D Printed Face Is Your Next Halloween Costume

Posted: 19 May 2015 09:00 PM PDT

Ever wanted to be someone else? Now you can. Specifically, you can be Jason Statham. Sort of.  You know how in spy movies they always have impeccably realistic rubber masks of real people, or at least other characters? You've seen them in the Mission: Impossible movies and more recently on TV's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. But they've never been totally believable, right? At least in the movie Face/Off the disguises were the real faces of two men who swapped identities. Jason Statham knows what's up, as his character in Spy doesn't simply ask for a mask in the below scene. He asks to use "the Face/Off machine." And now you can, too!   In the movie, the tough guy is told that such a machine does not exist. At least it didn't at...

Watch: The New 'Pixels' Trailer Kills a Smurf and Battles Donkey Kong

Posted: 19 May 2015 04:00 PM PDT

Even if you didn't grow up in the 1980s, the new trailer for Pixels is bound to stir nostalgic memories of all the great video games from the first generation of joystick madness. This preview expands upon what we've already seen from the summer action-comedy, adding additional layers to the main characters' backstories while teasing battle sequences that look dangerously fun. Makes us wanna play some Donkey Kong, to be honest. Check it out below.   Back in 2012, Disney's Wreck-It Ralph played off that fond nostalgia with an empathetic look at classic video game characters who had been pushed into early retirement. Now Pixels comes along to challenge the notion that these icons were ever actually heroic. As the trailer...

The Wild Story Behind All That Chrome Spray Paint in 'Mad Max: Fury Road'

Posted: 19 May 2015 02:33 PM PDT

Amidst the rich, detailed and gnarly mythology going on in Mad Max: Fury Road, there's one fascinating characteristic that is left unexplained in the movie -- namely, why do some of the characters spray chrome paint in their mouths? In the film this is called "shine" and it seems like the characters do it because they feel that is their key to entering Valhalla, which is like a paradise beyond the living world. So why the chrome spray paint? We asked George Miller about that part of the film when we sat down with him earlier this month, and he had a very specific reason behind it. "I saw a documentary where young [Cambodian] soldiers would go into war, they had little jaded deities -- and before they ran into battle, they put them in their mouths and just...

Watch: 'Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials' Trailer Reveals a Dangerous New World

Posted: 19 May 2015 01:06 PM PDT

If you thought the Maze was bad, wait till you see the Scorch. The first trailer for the Maze Runner sequel, The Scorch Trials, has arrived online, teasing an action-packed follow-up that raises the stakes while building out more of the freaky dystopian society set up in the first film. Check it out below.   Now that they've escaped the Maze, the Gladers -- led by Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) -- must utilize their skills to navigate a much more dangerous (and complicated) wasteland called the Scorch, which resembles a ruined, post-apocalyptic-ish world --- and at the same time gather clues about the shady organization that's been hanging over them since the beginning. We dug the action in the first movie -- this is a franchise that definitely brings the...

Movie News: First Look at Orgim in 'Warcraft' and Mark Wahlberg in 'Deepwater Horizon'

Posted: 19 May 2015 12:00 PM PDT

Warcraft: Our first look at Orgim in the big-screen adaptation of videogame Warcraft reveals an intricately-created charater. The orc is played by Robert Kazinsky, and the look of the character, designed by Industrial Light and Magic, is a mixture of the actor and concept art by Blizzard Entertainment, the company behind the game World of Warcraft. Directed by Duncan Jones, the movie is heading to theaters on June 10, 2016. [Wired]   Deepwater Horizon: Mark Wahlberg stars in Deepwater Horizon as a member of an oil rig crew that suffered a catastrophe, leading to an environmental disaster in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. The first official photo shows Wahlberg looking the part; Kurt Russell, John Malkovich, Dylan O'Brien, Gina Rodriguez, and Kate Hudson also star...
