This Video Will Make You Question Everything You Saw in 'Game of Thrones' Season 4

Posted:

game of thrones season 4 special effectsThese days, digital effects are so, well, effective, that we can't tell what's real and what's not -- especially when it comes the gritty, bloody realism we witnessed in Season 4 of "Game of Thrones." You see, it turns out that a lot of what we saw and assumed was done with practical effects (makeup, blood spatters, stunt people) actually wasn't. In the effects reel below, you can see exactly how it's done. Prepare to be amazed.

If you haven't seen "Game of Thrones" Season 4, turn away. MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW!

'Office Space' Is Responsible for the Death of TGI Fridays' Flair, Says Mike Judge

Posted:

mike judge TGI Fridays flairIn the cult classic workplace comedy "Office Space," Jennifer Aniston's character works at a chain restaurant that's a not-so-subtle parody of TGI Fridays, where servers are forced to wear colorful buttons dubbed "pieces of flair," mimicking the then-very real Fridays practice. Now, writer-director Mike Judge has revealed that Fridays received so much flack over their portrayal in the flick that they did away with the button practice altogether.

In an interview with Deadline, Judge discussed the impact that "Office Space" has had on the culture, pop and otherwise, since its unremarkable debut back in 1999. What was once considered a studio flop became a hit on home video and DVD, and ultimately a phenomenon that's still referenced reverently today.

That impact made its way all the way into the corporate structure at Fridays, apparently, as Judge explained to Deadline.

"About four years after 'Office Space' came out, TGI Fridays got rid of all that [button] flair, because people would come in and make cracks about it," the director said. "One of my ADs asked once at the restaurant why their flair was missing and they said they removed it because of that movie 'Office Space.' So, maybe I made the world a better place."

We think it's pretty hilarious that Fridays was so threatened by some teasing inspired by Judge's movie that they altered a company policy, though even they will probably admit that the change is for the better. Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but flair will always be a bit tacky.

Sunday's 'Game of Thrones' Finale Dragon Scene Is Now a Heartbreaking PSA (VIDEO)

Posted:

game of thrones finale dragon scene aspca sarah mclachlanApparently we weren't the only ones who found the dragon-shackling scene in Sunday's "Game of Thrones" finale utterly heartbreaking. A scrappy YouTuber turned a tender moment of tough love into a clever parody of those painful-to-watch, tear-inducing ASPCA commercials -- complete with Sarah McLachlan's "Angel" as the soundtrack.

Now, pardon us while we sob gently into our keyboards. Dragons are meant to be free!

'Frozen' Baby Names Are All the Rage in the UK

Posted:

frozen baby namesTaking a cue from American audiences who have been naming their newborns after "Game of Thrones" characters, UK residents have now started using monikers popularized by "Frozen."

Website BabyCenter.com reports that the hit animated musical has been inspiring more than just endless repetition of "Let It Go," with names like Elsa, Kristoff, and Hans seeing huge spikes in popularity since "Frozen"'s debut last November. The frequency of those three names' use rose 34 percent, 40 percent, and 40 percent, respectively, from 2013 to 2014, while even reindeer Sven saw the use of his name jump a whopping 41 percent in popularity.

As for poor Princess Anna, whose name only had a four percent increase in use, BabyCenter.com notes that that name was already pretty popular in the UK to begin with -- though Elsa totally got the flashier showcase song in the movie, and thus probably sticks out more viewers' minds as a result. (We're still big fans of "Do You Want to Build a Snowman," Anna!)

This is the first time Elsa has broken into BabyCenter.com's top 100 name rankings, though the site notes that not even the worldwide "Frozen" phenomenon can make Olaf happen -- his name sits at a dismal ranking of 459th. Guess he'll have to wait for "Frozen 2" to get his big baby naming break.

A 'Scooby-Doo' Reboot Is Coming, So Hide Your Scooby Snacks

Posted:

scooby doo rebootTen years after the franchise left theaters, Warner Bros. wants to reboot "Scooby-Doo."

Deadline reports that the studio is "in the early stages" of revamping the series, which first hit theaters with a live-action adaptation in 2002. The hit kiddie flick, which starred Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, and Linda Cardellini, also spawned a 2004 sequel, "Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed."

Banking on a rehash of that success, WB is looking to relaunch the series with a totally new story. According to Deadline, Randall Green is the man tapped to shepherd the new version of "Scooby."

While "Scooby" may seem like a surprising choice for a reboot, it certainly fits the recent trend of kid-friendly franchises returning to the big and small screens. "The Addams Family" is due for a new animated movie, while TV series "The Powerpuff Girls," "Reading Rainbow," and "The Magic School Bus" are all planning returns, too.

No further details about the new "Doo" are available yet; stay tuned.

The New 'Expendables 3' Trailer Will Blow You Away (VIDEO)

Posted:

expendables 3 trailerIf you like jaunty whistling layered over footage of machine gun fire and explosions, you're going to love the new, full trailer for "The Expendables 3."

Sylvester Stallone and his titular gang are back for more mayhem, this time at the hands of the villainous Conrad Stonebanks, played by Mel Gibson. When Stallone turns to Wesley Snipes and says, "Great to have you back," we can't help but think he's talking to the audience, too.

And based on the fact that this is now the "Expendables" franchise's third outing, the intended audience is probably pretty pleased to see Stallone and co. again, too. The fact that he's now brought in Gibson, Harrison Ford, Antonio Banderas, and Kelsey Grammer, too, probably doesn't hurt.

Fans used to the "Expendables" formula will find familiar territory here -- namely, the aforementioned venerable action stars kicking ass and cracking wise, while also poking fun at their increasingly advancing ages. The trailer includes plenty of those moments, which also serve as handy exposition.

"You were stupid enough to get yourself into this mess; we're the only ones crazy enough to get you out of it," Jason Statham screams to Stallone during one scene. That seems to sum up the film's plot nicely.

"The Expendables 3," which also stars Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Arnold Schwarzanegger, Kellan Lutz, and Victor Ortiz, opens on August 15.

Colin Firth Departs 'Paddington,' Cites a 'Conscious Uncoupling'

Posted:

colin firth paddingtonTaking a cue from Gwyneth Paltrow, Colin Firth is leaving the "Paddington" production.

"After a period of denial, we've chosen 'conscious uncoupling,'" Firth joked in a statement to Entertainment Weekly about his departure from the animated flick about the lovable British bear.

Firth and director Paul King chalked up the decision to Firth's voice just not quite fitting the character, a discovery the pair said was mutual and without malice.

"It's been bittersweet to see this delightful creature take shape and come to the sad realization that he simply doesn't have my voice," Firth's statement said. "I've had the joy of seeing most of the film and it's going to be quite wonderful. I still feel rather protective of this bear and I'm pestering them all with suggestions for finding a voice worthy of him."

EW notes that while it's strange for an actor to leave a project so close to its release -- "Paddington" is set to hit UK theaters in late November, and the U.S. in time for Christmas -- voice actors are more easily replaced, and high-profile switcheroos are not uncommon. The magazine cited examples such as Scarlett Johansson swapping in her husky voice in place of Samantha Morton's in "Her"; Ty Burrell replacing Robert Downey Jr. in "Mr. Peabody and Sherman"; and Albert Brooks subbing in for William H. Macy in "Finding Nemo."

King also released a statement about Firth's departure, and said that while the production was sad to see the Oscar winner go, filmmakers were still determined to make sure that Paddington's "big screen debut is magnificent."

"I cannot thank [Firth] enough for his contribution to 'Paddington,'" King's statement said. "We love the voice and we love the bear, but as our young bear came into being we agreed that the two didn't seem to fit. So, with somewhat heavy hearts we decided to part ways."

"Paddington" will make its British debut on November 28, and hit U.S. theaters on December 25.

Bryan Cranston Reveals Memoir Title and HBO Movie Details

Posted:

2014 Tony Awards - Show
After news broke last week that Bryan Cranston's Tony-winning play about Lyndon B. Johnson, "All the Way," was on its way to TV via a Steven Spielberg miniseries, the actor has clarified those plans, while also dropping some details about his upcoming memoir.

Vulture chatted with Cranston Monday night, and asked for an update on "All the Way"'s progress. While the Spielberg connection was accurate, though some other details are still being worked out.

"I don't know if it's a miniseries as much as an HBO movie," he told Vulture. "They want to see and honor the story, and so if it needs to be maybe four hours then it might be a two-hour and two-hour kind of thing."

The actor also mentioned that early reports that "All the Way" author Robert Schenkkan's second play about LBJ, "The Great Society," would be included in the television adaptation were inaccurate. Progress on the project is moving swiftly, according to Cranston, with Schnekkan already hard at work on the screenplay.

In addition to those comments, Vulture inquired about the status of Cranston's memoir, which the actor said would be heavily inspired by his Emmy-winning stint on "Breaking Bad." One such bit of inspiration is in the book's very title, referencing an iconic bit of Walter White dialogue.

"Tentatively, it's 'Say My Name,'" Cranston said, adding that that may change. Our fingers are crossed that it doesn't. If only literary awards counted toward the EGOT...

Steve Martin Had No Idea 'Father of the Bride 3' Was Happening

Posted:

steve martin father of the bride 3If "Father of the Bride 3" is indeed in the works, it's news to Steve Martin.

The comedian, who starred in the first two installments of the series in the early '90s, took to Twitter Monday to express his confusion about the project, which reports indicated he was definitely returning for. Martin's message clearly comes with a healthy dose of sarcasm, and certainly calls into question the accuracy of the film's development in the first place. Then again, filmmakers may be working behind the scenes to gauge studio interest and get a story in place before approaching the cast, especially since securing a green light from the studio most likely hinges upon those original stars' return.

Stay tuned to see if this franchise actually becomes a trilogy.

'The Knick' Trailer: Clive Owen Pushes Medical Boundaries

Posted:

Medicine has come a very long way, and that's the focus of Cinemax's new drama, "The Knick," directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring Clive Owen. Set in 1900 New York at the Knickerbocker Hospital, the 10-episode series follows the staff as they try to save lives without the help of antibiotics.

"More has been learned about the treatment of the human body in the last five years than was learned in the previous 500," Owen's surgeon character notes in a brand-new trailer.

The teaser is dark and shadowy, and weird and sinister. "The Knick" almost looks like a horror movie, with shots of patients writhing on tables, bloody organs in bowls, and nurses running down badly-lit corridors.

"The Knick" premieres August 8 on Cinemax. Yes, Cinemax.

Mark Ruffalo Says There Might Be a Standalone 'Hulk' Movie

Posted:

mark ruffalo hulk movieIs Hulk set to smash yet again?

Back in December, people scoffed a bit when Lou Ferrigno claimed another "Hulk" standalone movie was in the works. But now, Mark Ruffalo -- who played the green giant in "The Avengers" and reprises that role in "Age of Ultron" -- is backing him up.

"I think they are, for the first time, entertaining the idea of it," Ruffalo told Digital Spy of a standalone film. "When we did 'The Avengers,' it was basically 'No!', and now there is some consideration for it."

Before "The Avengers," two different "Hulk" movies -- 2003 with Eric Bana and 2008 with Ed Norton -- didn't exactly set the world on fire. But the character became much more popular after "The Avengers," and fans have been chattering ever since about rebooting the property with Ruffalo.

So, maybe Marvel is rethinking a "Hulk" movie. But if it does come to pass, it'll be awhile.

"There's still nothing definitive, not even a skeletal version of what it would be," Ruffalo warned. "I look forward to going down that road, if we could crack that nut."

'Guardians of the Galaxy' UK Trailer: Chris Pratt Has a Plan -- or Part of One, Anyway (VIDEO)

Posted:

guardians of the galaxy uk trailer"Are you telling me the fate of 12 billion people are in the hands of a thief, two thugs, a murderer, and maniac?" Glenn Close asks in the new international trailer for Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy."

Yup. And it sounds like a fantastic idea.

The trailer boasts some new footage, including a lot more of the dry humor of Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper). There's great banter between him and Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), like when the former scoffs at Star-Lord having a plan and the latter insists he's at least "got part of a plan."

The spot also goes into a bit more detail about Star-Lord's background, and gives us glimpses Lee Pace's villain, Ronan, as well as Karen Gillan's baddie Nebula.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" hits American theaters August 1.

Lena Headey Is Not Sorry For Sorta Spoiling 'Game of Thrones' (VIDEO)

Posted:

"Game of Thrones" star Lena Headey is just as much of a badass at social media as her character, Cersei Lannister, is at backstabbing and murder-plotting.

She's become an expert at putting out "spoilers" on her Instagram feed -- without many "Game of Thrones" fans even realizing they are spoilers. And as Headey indicated, via a wardrobe choice, she's not going to apologize for it. Headey didn't address her T-shirt -- instead, she and Kimmel played a wicked wine-drinking/insult-hurling game -- but it seems like the actress was addressing the "controversy" over her quasi-spoilers.

Three months ago, Headey posted this picture of herself with Pedro Pascal. She's playfully gouging out Pascal's eyes -- a preview of how his character, Oberyn Martell, actually suffered his demise on the show a few weeks ago.

Then two months ago, Headey posted a photo of a heart made of stones:

Fans who've read the books thought that this meant a character named Lady Stoneheart would appear by the end of season 4. But she did not. Maybe she'll show up in season 5, or maybe not at all.

Regardless, Headey is #sorrynotsorry for teasing "Game of Thrones." Hey, it's all in good #fun!

The Latest 'Star Wars: Episode VII' Rumor Is as Villainous as It Is Confusing

Posted:

David Oyelowo star wars rumorsNearly all scoops about "Star Wars: Episode VII" are just wild rumors, as director J.J. Abrams is keeping details about the hotly-anticipated sequel under lock and key.

But we can still have fun debating those rumors, at least!

The latest one comes from Making Star Wars, which was told by sources from inside Pinewood Studios that the main villains of "Episode VII" are so-called Jedi Hunters. The site says these hunters sound very similar to the Inquisitor of the animated television series "Star Wars Rebels."

One of their sources claims that actor David Oyelowo is playing one of the three main villains in the film, while another tells the site that Oyelowo, Adam Driver, and Lupita Nyong'o are the three evil Jedi Hunters.

"Source #2 claims to have been on set for a sequence in which we learn the Jedi Hunters worship the Sith and want to resurrect them," the site says. "Their mandate was to protect the Sith at all costs and insure their survival."

Luke Skywalker has apparently been battling them for the 30 years that have elapsed since "Return of the Jedi," according to the source, but is "outnumbered, tired, and in need of help."

We're taking all of this with a huge helping of salt, of course, but if this turns out to be true, it sounds like a great set-up to the new trilogy.

New DVD Blu-ray: 'The Lego Movie,' 'The Grand Budapest Hotel'

Moviefone's Top DVD of the Week
"The Lego Movie"
What's It About? A boring, regular dude Lego named Emmet (Chris Pratt) is suddenly called upon to save the world. Will Ferrell voices bad guy President Business, Elizabeth Banks as the super cool Wyldstyle, Alison Brie as Princess Unikitty, and Nick Offerman as a pirate named Metal Beard.
Why We're IN: Phil Lord and Christopher Miller accomplished the unthinkable -- they made what seemed like a craven toy tie-in into a movie that everyone loves. It's kind of crazy.

Moviefone's Top Blu-ray of the Week
"Picnic at Hanging Rock" (Criterion)
What's It About? A group of schoolgirls and their teacher go on a lovely picnic at Hanging Rock, a scenic rock formation in Australia. Their Valentine's Day outing takes a turn for the weird when several of them go missing, leaving a devastated community in their wake.
Why We're IN: It's a gorgeous, creepy masterpiece, and it comes with all the Criterion bells and whistles: an extended interview with director Peter Weir, an on-set documentary, essays, and in some versions, a copy of the novel on which it was based, by Joan Lindsay.

New on DVD & Blu-ray
"13 Sins"
What's It About? Indie fave Mark Webber ("Save the Date," "The End of Love," "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World") stars as a broke guy in quite a financial bind who's offered the chance to make over $6 mil quick. The problem is what he has to do to get that cash.
IN or OUT: This little suspense/horror/thriller got mixed reviews, but fans of Daniel Stamm, who directed "The Last Exorcism," might want to give it a whirl.

"Almost Human"
What's It About? Seth (Graham Skipper) is obviously upset when his friend Mark (Josh Ethier) disappears in what sounds like some crazy alien abduction, but when Mark returns, well, it's not good news for anyone. Especially the people who have recently been murdered!
IN or OUT: If you dig super low-budget horror, give this a shot. It's not for everyone, though.

"Ernest & Celestine"
What's It About? Typically, mice and bears aren't the best of friends, so when Ernest, a musically inclined bear voiced by Forest Whitaker in the English dub of this French film, becomes pals with an artsy mouse named Celestine, it doesn't go over too well with their peers.
IN or OUT: Totally in! This charming French animated film snagged awards at Cannes and the César Awards, as well as an Oscar nomination.

"The Grand Budapest Hotel"
What's It About? Ralph Fiennes stars as a very dapper hotel concierge named Gustave H., who takes under his wing the younge Zero Moustafa (Tony Revolori). There's romance, thievery, cat murder, jail, ominous occupying forces, and so much more. Tilda Swinton appears all too briefly as the elderly Madame D., and Adrien Brody plays her vengeful son who sends some baddies after Gustave.
IN or OUT: Wes Anderson lovers love this movie, and for good reason. There's just no chance that it won't come out in a better Criterion edition in, like, a year, so unless you absolutely must have it now, hold off for a while.
"House of Cards: The Complete Second Season"
What's It About? Kevin Spacey is back as devious Dem Frank Underwood, alongside Robin Wright as his wife Claire. The second season kicks off with a bang, just as Frank's about to become the Veep, and naturally the DC scheming is just non-stop.
IN or OUT: It's incredibly popular and critically acclaimed, but it's a Netflix show so it's pretty easy to just, you know, watch it on Netflix.

"Jimmy P."
What's It About? Benecio del Toro co-stars with Mathieu Amalric in this drama about a Native American WWII vet with PTSD (del Toro) who finds solace in his friendship with a French psychoanalyst slash anthropologist (Amalric). Talk about "the talking cure"!
IN or OUT: Critics were pretty mixed on this film from French auteur Arnaud Desplechin, but perhaps it's because of that writer/director's pedigree that they felt let down? See for yourself.

"Joe"
What's It About? As the eponymous ex-con, Nicolas Cage gets grizzly in this Southern-set film by David Gordon Green. Tye Sheridan, who was wonderful in Jeff Nichols' 2012 "Mud," co-stars as a teen whose troubled home life stirs something in Joe that changes both of their lives.
IN or OUT: Fans of old Nicolas Cage, back before he was a larger-than-life personality, will be happy to see him dig into this dark, violent drama.

EXCLUSIVE: Nic Cage talks about being inspired as a real-life grand-father (VIDEO)

"Regular Show: The Complete Third Season"
What's It About? The Cartoon Network show is about Rigby the raccoon and Mordecai the blue jay, and the many weird adventures they get into when they're goofing off at work.
IN or OUT: It's been a hit on Cartoon Network, although not nearly as successful as, say, "Adventure Time." Still, if animated shows are your bag, it's worth a look.

"Walk of Shame"
What's It About? In this terrible twist on Martin Scorsese's "After Hours," Elizabeth Banks stars as a news anchor who's left without cash, ID, phone, or transportation after a one-night stand with some yahoo played by James Marsden. Her so-called walk of shame has to be pretty speedy 'cause she's got an important interview in, oh, eight hours.
IN or OUT: So far out. Out, out, out. OUT.

New to Blu-ray
"Hearts and Minds" (Criterion)
What's It About? This is an incredible documentary by Peter Davis about the Vietnam War and its effects on both the US and Vietnam. Made in 1974, this doc was controversial for its portrayal of the United States' actions in Vietnam, and dismissed by some critics as anti-war propaganda.
IN or OUT: Documentary fiends will want to add this to their collection ASAP, especially since it's loaded with over two hours of unused footage.

"Judex" (Criterion)
What's It About? Georges Franju's '60s thriller is what the French would call "super cool," but in a fancy French accent instead of a stupid American one. Channing Pollock plays the mysterious caped Judex, a pulpy character originally created by Louis Feuillade ("Fantômas," " Les Vampires") for a series of silent films in the early 20th century, who kidnaps a banker who's been scamming his clients.
IN or OUT: If you're a fan of Feuillade or Georges Franju or stylish '60s crime thrillers, this would be a swanky addition to your collection.

"Planet of the Apes Legacy Collection"
What's It About? It's five discs of damned dirty ape action, starting with "Planet of the Apes" and ending with "Battle for the Planet of the Apes." Just in time for the latest entry in the "Apes" epic, "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes."
IN or OUT: How hardcore of an "Apes" fan are you?

'The Bachelorette' Week 5: Who's Up, Who's Down, Who's Out

Posted:

"The Bachelorette" is back, and this week Andi Dorfman and her many men headed to Marseille, France. But not everyone had a French connection, if ya know what I mean...

Here are the highlights of week 5:

-Chris Harrison and his snazzy knit turtleneck asked Andi if she was falling in love and she got smiley and was all, "Stop. Don't ask me that!"

-Josh, who always seems like a frontrunner, finally got the one-on-one and they walked around town, went out on a boat, and sat by some pretty Mediterranean rocks. At night they preceded to a palace and romance ensued. At first not so much, since Andi couldn't quite get past their physical connection (she wanted an emotional one, too!), but then he finally opened up and all was well.

-The group date involved miming school and then a public performance in town -- basically another way to embarrass these guys further. "Salty" Nick had an attitude and didn't join in the miming games. Marquel and JJ gave it their all and mimed their hearts out.

-Later, Nick revealed he thought he was the "frontrunner" and the other contestants confronted him about being smug. Cody is especially annoyed, because he feels he's been mocked, so they got into it. Nick and Andi talked about the situation, but he read her a poem, which kinda made up for it all? Hmm.

-JJ told Marquel that Andrew had made a racist remark about him which upset Marquel. When he confronted Andrew later, Andrew denied saying it.

-Brian had the next one-on-one, which involved watching a movie about cooking and then ... actually cooking! While preparing frogs legs, Brian got totally standoffish and weird and boy, he clearly does not care about making food. Awkward. He didn't make a move (again!) and regretted it (again!) but then they went out for beers and talked and kissed and he got his precious rose.

Andi cut right to the chase and skipped the cocktail party because she knew what she had to do. So, who's on top this week? And who did she cut?

Who's out?: Despite stepping it up on the group date, Marquel didn't get a rose. Andrew, who wasn't exactly a favorite, didn't make it either. We also said goodbye to Patrick.

Who's up?: Josh's one-on-one helped him get closer to Andi on another level.

Who's down? Cody still hasn't had any alone time. He's not exactly down, he's just kinda skating by. Brian's food date ultimately worked out fine, but he could have made that time even more special if he hadn't closed himself off. Dylan didn't get much screen time this week.

Don't count him out: Marcus. He wears his heart on his sleeve and it works.

MVP: JJ whisked Andi off to a ferris wheel at one point and reminded her of his fun side. He's made sure to make himself stand out and was awarded the group date rose.

You're hot, then you're cold: Nick. What gives, Nick? Sometimes you're sweet and vulnerable, other times you seem a little arrogant. We'll have to wait and see what side we get next week...

Brian Williams Rapping 'Baby Got Back,' NY Mayor Singing 'I Love L.A.' Lead Late Night Roundup (VIDEOS)

Posted:

Brian Williams Rapping Baby Got Back
Does Brian Williams rapping (thanks to the digital magic of one obsessive Jimmy Fallon staffer) ever get old? No, it does not. Especially when he's rapping the Sir Mix-A-Lot classic, "Baby Got Back." Kathie Lee Gifford provides the "makin' me so horny" line, of course.

Also on Fallon, Keenen Ivory Wayans shared his personal experience of why it's a bad idea to scare kids from the projects at summer camp.

On "Jimmy Kimmel Live," L.A. mayor Eric Garcetti stopped by to collect on his Stanley Cup bet with New York mayor Bill de Blasio: Since the New York Rangers lost to the Los Angeles Kings, de Blasio had to sing "I Love L.A." "This is a hostage situation," he told Jimmy.

Kimmel couldn't resist replaying Garcetti's "pottymouthed" moment earlier in the day at the Kings rally, when he dropped the F-bomb. (Intact in this news clip, but bleeped in some rare Necessary Censorship on "Jimmy Kimmel Live.")

Speaking of sports, Chelsea Handler admitted she didn't even know L.A. had a hockey team, so she had to have the World Cup explained to her.

And speaking of censorship, Jason Biggs was bleeped on "ChelseaLately" as he described the "celebrity oversharing experts" who analyzed how he announced his baby's birth on Instagram.

Seth Meyers replayed the scariest moment of his life, aka, that time when Chris Rock crashed his monologue and nearly gave the host a heart attack. "I put my hand on my heart," Meyers laments of his less-than-dignified reaction, comparing himself to the Dowager Countess on "Downton Abbey."

While on "Late Show With David Letterman," Susan Sarandon chatted about road trips, since she was there to promote her new road-movie comedy with Melissa McCarthy, Tammy. Which, naturally, led to her advising Dave he'll now have plenty of time for his own escapade-filled road trip. Susan, we've never seen anyone pet their pooch quite so compulsively.
