| This new trailer with Lau Ching Wan is full of ‘Insanity’ Posted: 29 Dec 2014 12:59 PM PST  "Insanity" Chinese Theatrical Poster A hot new trailer for Insanity, a psychological thriller by first time director David Lee, has hit the web. The upcoming film stars Huang Xiaoming (The White Haired Witch of Lunar Kingdom) as a hotshot psychiatrist who goes head-to-head with a witty psychopath, played by Lau Ching Wan (Too Many Ways to Be Number One). Insanity also stars Fiona Sit (Girls), Paw Hee Ching (Special ID), Alex Fong (Kung Fu Jungle), Michelle Ye, Michelle Wai and is produced by Hong Kong film auteur, Derek Yee (Shinjuku Incident). | Salma Hayek kills a lot of Yakuza in the 1st trailer for ‘Everly’ Posted: 29 Dec 2014 01:34 AM PST  "Everly" Theatrical Poster Wanna see Salma Hayek kick some Yakuza ass? Well, so do we, which is why we can’t wait for her upcoming action-thriller called Everly, from cult director Joe Lynch (Wrong Turn 2: Dead End). The film will be released by way of VOD on January 23, then theatrically, on February 27. Everly is an action/thriller centered on a woman (Hayek) who faces down Japanese assassins sent by her ex, a mob boss, while holed up in her apartment. Everly features action sequences staged by Akihiro “Yuji” Noguchi (Black Belt). The film also stars Jennifer Blanc, Togo Igawa (47 Ronin), Caroline Chikezie, Masashi Fujimoto (Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance) and Hiroyuki Watanabe (Karate-Robo Zaborgar).

Akemi (Meiko Kaji from Lady Snowblood) is a tattooed leader of the Tachibana Yakuza clan. In a duel with a rival gang, Akemi slashes the eyes of an opponent and a black cat appears, to lap the blood from the gushing wound. The cat, along with the eye-victim, go on to pursue Akemi's gang in revenge, leaving a trail of dead Yakuza girls, their tattoos skinned from their bodies. Watch the trailer.
