Christina Aguilera Is Returning to 'The Voice' for Season 8

Posted:

102.7 KIIS FM's 2014 Wango Tango - Backstage
After sitting out two seasons, Christina Aguilera will return as a judge on "The Voice" for its next outing.

NBC announced Tuesday that Aguilera, who was one of the first four judges on the NBC singing competition, would take a seat again in one of the show's iconic big red chairs when season eight starts in early 2015. She'll join fellow original judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, as well as Pharrell Williams, who made his "Voice" judging debut during this current season, the show's seventh.

Williams and No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani are the newbies this season, taking over from season six's Usher and Shakira. Stefani will be replaced by Aguilera, who last appeared on "The Voice" during season five, but sat out seasons six and seven due to her pregnancy. She gave birth to a baby girl in August.

"We are excited to welcome Christina back to her red chair and can't wait to see how she mixes things up among Adam, Blake and Pharrell, in what will be an incredibly competitive competition," said Paul Telegdy, NBC Entertainment's president of alternative and late night programming, in a statement.

Williams will be the only replacement coach to appear in two consecutive seasons of the show; Levine and Shelton have stayed on for the series's entire run. Cee Lo Green was the other original judge on the "Voice" panel, but, like Aguilera, also bowed out after season five.

The seventh season of "The Voice" is currently airing on Mondays on NBC.

Chris Rock Books Return to Host 'SNL' in November

Posted:

Variety Studio Presented By Moroccanoil At Holt Renfrew - Day 3 - 2014 Toronto International Film Festival
After recent beloved "Saturday Night Live" alum Bill Hader hosted the show this past weekend, fellow onetime "SNL" star Chris Rock has also booked his return.

The sketch series announced on Twitter Tuesday that Rock will host "SNL" on November 1, nearly two decades after his only previous hosting gig, way back in 1996. The comedian was a cast member on the show from 1990-1993.

Rock will be the third alum to host an episode of "SNL"'s 40th season -- following Hader and Sarah Silverman -- and he'll be the fourth out of five hosts overall this season to make a repeat hosting appearance, after Jim Carrey returns for the gig on October 25. (Chris Pratt, who hosted the season premiere, is the only first-timer of the bunch so far.)

The comedian will be joined by musical guest Prince, making his third appearance on the program, following stints in 1981 and 2006.

Rock's episode airs November 1 at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.

'X-Files' Alum Gillian Anderson Wants in on 'Ghostbusters 3'

Posted:

Now that an all-female "Ghostbusters 3" is officially a go -- and Bill Murray has had his say about his dream cast -- actresses all over Hollywood are no doubt jockeying for a part in the flick. Former "X-Files" star Gillian Anderson is among them, as she used a recent Reddit AMA to appeal to "G3" mastermind Paul Feig to cast her in the hotly-anticipated project.

While promoting her new sci-fi novel "A Vision of Fire," Anderson was asked if she'd be interested in starring in the reboot. Although she was unfamiliar with the project, a quick internet search immediately piqued her interest.

"OH MY GOD, I just looked it up online," Anderson wrote. "Paul Feig, cast me now! Start a Twitter petition! I'm free!!!!! I'm free I'm free and I'm funny, goddamnit!"

A follow-up post from a Redditor promising to pass around the hypothetical petition got a big thumbs-up from the actress.

"MAKE IT HAPPEN!!" Anderson replied.

Anderson is certainly no stranger to the supernatural, thanks to her years on "The X-Files" (and its subsequent movies). But she has to get in line with the rest of Hollywood; we have a feeling that there's going to be some heavy competition for the flick.

'Marry Me' Stars Casey Wilson and Ken Marino Offer Up Some Must-Have Marriage Advice

Posted:

The Paley Center For Media's PaleyFest 2014 Fall TV Preview - NBC
Two comedy favorites, Casey Wilson and Ken Marino, are about to become the couple you love to watch on the new NBC sitcom, "Marry Me."

You've probably seen writer and actor Ken Marino in one of his many comedy classics, including "Wet Hot American Summer," "Role Models," or "Party Down." Casey can currently be seen on the big screen in "Gone Girl," but you may also know her as the ah-ma-zing Penny Hartz on the sadly short-lived sitcom, "Happy Endings."

Now the hilarious pair play Jake and Annie, a newly-engaged duo who deal with the awkward, silly, and highly relatable trials and tribulations that come with a relationship. The show starts out with a proposal, but don't expect to just watch wacky wedding drama around picking a dress or losing a ring here.

We got the chance to speak with the show's hilarious two stars, who filled us on their characters and what we'll see when it comes to their new life together. Plus, they offer up their best pieces of relationship advice and share what think would be the worst proposal story ever.

Moviefone: "Marry Me" is romantic comedy show anchored around an engagement, but it won't just focus on different aspects of wedding planning week after week. What else will we get to explore with this relationship throughout the first season?

Casey Wilson: I think in the first season we explore how Jake moves in with me and people can probably relate to that. My character's been living alone for a while and even though I love him I get claustrophobic and I slowly start moving into my car to have a little me time...

Ken Marino: This season is more about this new chapter in their lives and how they deal with that and how they deal with their friends and their family. It's not a show where every episode is about prepping for the wedding.

It seems like this relationship is a very relatable one. What are some of the scenarios we can expect to see that are very true to life and less glamorous than something than would see in something like "The Notebook," for instance?

Casey: I think a pretty classic scenario for the Thanksgiving episode will be Jake's mom is used to hosting and I think there's I think age-old clash between my character and his mother, who is played by JoBeth Williams from "Poltergeist," so it's very scary.

Ken: It's the first time we're wanting to have Thanksgiving at our home and my mom, JoBeth Williams, is not thrilled about it.

Tell me about your characters, Annie and Jake. How are they dissimilar and how do they come together to make such a great match?

Casey: I think they're very different. I think my character is really emotional. She gets really happy and then gets really angry and really sad and is always on an emotional journey, much like myself.

Ken: I think he's a little bit more the calm to her storm. He's the yin to her yang. He kind of grounds her when she starts to spiral off. Together they make a wonderful...

Casey: ... weird couple.

This is loosely based on your own relationship, Casey, since your husband David Caspe is the creator of the show. How have you inspired Annie and this on-screen pairing? Did you have any input about how her character would play out?

Casey: Yeah. I mean, here and there. My husband [David Caspe] created the show so it's very loosely based on our relationship, but it's taken on a life of its own. I don't have as much say as I'd like, I'll tell you that.

If you had your say, what would you see?

Casey: I would fire all the actors and do sort of a one person show.

Ken: It's interesting. David Caspe, the creator of the show, will come by and he and Casey will go home and they'll always be like, "alright, let's go home and create some ideas for new episodes!" and they come in with a ton of different material the next day.

Ken, what drew you to this role? You've had so many great projects and played so many memorable characters, but it seems like Jake is a little different from them?

Ken: What I like about Jake is he's very similar to me and so he's really quite easy to play. I just sort of look at the lines and then say them.

Casey, people loved your character Penny from "Happy Endings." I know you mentioned that that Annie's not quite as desperate, but will we see some Penny in her?

Casey: I mean, I'm sure some will sneak in. I think Annie's much more grounded than Penny, I hope. She's not as crazy and not hoping to find a man. She's at least gotten that bit of her life and I think everyone on "Marry Me" has a little more heart than the characters on "Happy Endings," who are horrible people.

How does it differ from other sitcoms on TV right now?

Ken: I don't know how it's different from other sitcoms, but I will say what's great about this show is that it's super funny. David has just written a show that's riddled with jokes but it still has heart and even though it has heart it does cut the saccharine with funny, hard, and sometimes subversive jokes. For me, it's exactly the kind of comedy that I would want to watch. We're very lucky to be on it.

What's the best piece of marriage or relationship advice that you would like to impart on our readers?

Casey: Wow. My best advice is always keep a power bar or a bag of nuts near you because when the blood sugar goes I think things get ugly.

Ken: My piece of advice is your wife is right 99.9 percent of the time. But with that .1 percent, stand your ground. Other than that, just do what she says.

What do you think would be the worst proposal possible?

Casey: I feel like, if someone died. You said the worst that could happen!

Ken: If you proposed and the ring was actually a bomb.

Casey: That would be bad.

Ken: Check the ring and make sure it's not a small explosive. That would suck.

What are your favorite on-screen couples of all time? Is there a fictional relationship that's the ultimate? I always look to Claire and Cliff Huxtable...

Casey: That's a good one. Claire and Cliff Huxtable are a great romantic couple. I love them. Lucy and Desi I love too.

Ken: I'm a sucker for Sam and Diane. What are some other good recent couples?

Casey: I like Clare and Phil on "Modern Family."

Ken: I agree!

Casey: And I know they're not a romantic couple but Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin on "30 Rock."

Ken: That's a really great couple. I second that emotion.

Casey: I appreciate that.

Ken: I appreciate your appreciation.

You have me completely sold, and I can't wait to watch the show. But give us your one sentence "Marry Me" pitch for everyone out there. Why should we tune in?

Casey: I'll say If you like really hard and funny jokes with a little heart and then you'll love this show. If you've got a heartbeat, I think you'll love it.

Ken: And I'll say watch "Marry Me" or you're dead to me.

"Marry Me" premieres Tuesday, October 14 at 9/8c on NBC.

Javier Bardem May Play Villain in 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5'

Posted:

BRITAIN-ART-CINEMA-THE COUNSELORAs "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" preps to begin production early next year, the film may have landed an Oscar-winning actor to play its main villain.

TheWrap reports that Javier Bardem is in talks to play antagonist Captain Brand in the fifth "Pirates" flick. Christoph Waltz was previously rumored to be in the running for the part, but according to TheWrap, an offer is currently out to Bardem.

Variety also confirmed that Bardem is currently in talks with Disney about the flick.

TheWrap notes that the actor may have been swayed to join "Pirates 5" by his wife, Penelope Cruz, who starred in the fourth flick in the franchise, "On Stranger Tides." In addition to that personal connection, Bardem also reportedly is eager to work with "Dead Men Tell No Tales" directors Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg, after being impressed by their work on the feature "Kon-Tiki."

Bardem would be a new addition to a sea of familiar faces set to rejoin the "Pirates" fold. Johnny Depp is a lock to return as Captain Jack Sparrow, while rumored returning actors also include Geoffrey Rush, Ian McShane, Stephen Graham, and Keith Richards. After sitting out the fourth flick, Orlando Bloom is also considering reprising his role.

Production on "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" is set to begin in Australia in February.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" will hit theaters on July 7, 2017.

5 Gangster Movies That Harry Shum Jr. Would Fight For

Harry Shum 5WorthWatchingWhile he's best known for his role on the hit show "Glee," Harry Shum Jr. takes his talents to the big screen this fall in the crime film "Revenge of the Green Dragons."

Set in 1989 New York, the action movie follows two immigrant brothers who join the ranks of a Chinatown gang to survive the impoverished city. As you may remember, Scorsese famously adapted Lau's "Infernal Affairs" (2004) into the Oscar-winning "The Departed" (2006).

Shum recently revealed his five favorite gangster movies. Did Scorsese make the cut? Check out his list below.

Dancing Baby Groot From 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Will Groove Into Toy Stores in December

Posted:

Groot, Baby Groot, Dancing Baby Groot, Dancing Baby Groot Toy, Baby Groot Toy
Straight from Star-Lord's ship, dancing baby Groot from "Guardians of the Galaxy" is set to groove his way into toy stores in time for Christmas this year.

Mashable reports that Marvel has officially licensed a replica of the crowd-pleasing little fella that charmed audiences this summer with his adorable dance moves set to the Jackson 5's "I Want You Back." The replica that will be sold in stores will feature an electronic version of that tune that will play from built-in speakers, and retail for around $14.99.

The toy is almost as cute as his on-screen counterpart (played in his original, life-size form by Vin Diesel), and while his superb flexibility is somewhat lost in translation -- this version is a little herky-jerky with his hip swivels -- it's still fun to watch him wiggle. Check out a clip of the little guy in action below, and just try not to dance along.

Dancing baby Groot will be in stores starting in December.

'Walking Dead' Breaks Ratings Record Again

Posted:

Walking DeadThere's no stopping these zombies!

"The Walking Dead" returned Sunday for its fifth season with record-breaking ratings - 17.3 million viewers and an 8.7 share of advertiser-coveted 18-49 adults (that's about 11 million people).

That's 1 million total viewers more than last season's premiere and 1.7 million more than the season 4 finale. Not only that, in the demo, "The Walking Dead" even beat the NFL, both NBC's "Sunday Night Football" and Fox's overrun.

The continued growth made AMC's decision to renew the show for a sixth a no-brainer (insert zombie joke here).

"It's a Dead man's party. Who could ask for more?" said AMC president Charlie Collie in a statement. "Enormous thanks to our friends and executive producers Robert Kirkman, Scott Gimple, Greg Nicotero - who also directed last night's terrific premiere - Gale Anne Hurd, Dave Alpert and Tom Luse and all of their fellow producers, cast and crew for everything they do to make the #1 show on television such a unique and incredible experience for the fans."

And with the network working on a spinoff, it seems like there will no end to zombies crawling out of our screens.

'Fury' Review: 10 Things You Should Know About the Muddy Brad Pitt Action Movie

Posted:

fury reviewWar is hell. This much we know is true.

It's also the fodder for prestige action movies like "Fury," about a small team of men who pilot and maneuver the titular tank in the waning days of World War II, where Hitler's Germany acted like a scared and wounded dog -- all teeth and matted fur and ferocious intent. Brad Pitt leads the platoon, which is stocked handily with fine actors like Jon Bernthal, Logan Lerman, Shia LeBeouf (who lost a tooth and cut his face for the role) and Michael Pena.

Instead of a world-saving mission, these good ole boys are more interested in just surviving until the war officially concludes (a task that seems doable until, well, things go to hell). But does this rise out of the flames of war, triumphant? Or burn before it reaches the finish line? Read on to find out!

1. This Is Not 'Inglourious Basterds 2' (Unfortunately)
The last time Brad Pitt was in the Nazi-killing mood, he joined up with the "Inglourious Basterds" for Quentin Tarantino. That film, which might be the filmmaker's very best, was fun and unexpected and formally ambitious. This is not that movie. Not by a long shot. It's much more structured and traditional and "gritty." If you're expecting another gay wartime romp like "Inglourious Basterds," think again. You should probably just watch "Inglourious Basterds." That movie is a masterpiece.

2. It's Incredibly Violent
What is kind of shocking, if we're continuing on this lazy "Inglourious Basterds" comparison tract, which I am more than happy to do, is that "Fury" is more violent than "Inglourious Basterds." While 'Basterds' had those gruesome scalpings and a couple of splashy executions, "Fury" is almost wall-to-wall gore, an unending cascade of red. In fact, the opening moments of the movie involve Brad Pitt launching out of the titular tank and stabbing a German in the face. While this is a pretty abrasive way to start a movie, it certainly sets the tone that the rest of the movie follows.

3. The Supporting Cast Is Uniformly Terrific...
Listen, everybody in "Fury" (the movie and the tank) is terrific. These are actors doing some capital-A acting, with the cast going through a rigorous boot camp experience that seems to have systematically broken them down and built them back up. (There's also the incident when some of the guys beat up Scott Eastwood because he spit on their tank.) They are caked in mud and scared with the wounds of war (some of them quite literally -- Shia cut himself). But alas...

4. ...Although They Don't Have Much to Do
...These are characters who you'd probably see on any black-and-white war movie that they play late at night on TCM (except with more cursing and without the genial introduction). There's the guy with the mysterious past, the guy who reads the Bible a lot, the Mexican guy, the new guy, and the borderline psychopath guy (that's Bernthal, bumming everyone out after playing such an effervescent character in "Wolf of Wall Street"). These are stock characters, through and through, more two-dimensional than any animated sprite.

5. Clichés Riddle the Tank as Much as Bullets
And the characters' lack of depth speaks to the overall banality of "Fury." It's full of raging war movie clichés, and while the filmmakers clearly try to give it a gritty, harsher feel (hence all of that bloody violence), it feels just as phony as any of the classic war pictures. It's insanely been-there, fought-that, and, just to roll out the "Inglourious Basterds" analogy one last time, lacking in that film's unpredictability and willingness to deconstruct the war movie genre with gleeful abandon. "Fury" sticks to its guns. And it's a drag.

6. Jokes Are One of the Casualties of War
You know another thing "Inglourious Basterds" had that "Fury" doesn't? Jokes. Now, I'm not asking for it to be a laugh-a-minute joke-coaster, but a movie that is this single-mindedly grim feels artificial and forced. Yes, war is the worst. But these are actual human beings driving and operating this tank, and last I checked, human beings, even in the darkest of circumstances, manage to crack jokes every once in a while.

7. There's a Lot of Mud
Everyone is covered in mud from beginning to end. The tank rolls through an endless sea of mud. Brad Pitt makes mud seem sexy. Mud has more screen time than Lerman and Pena combined. It is the great equalizer. And makes it somewhat confusing to tell the actors apart. In mud we trust.

8. Steven Price's Score Is Great
One of the more rousing aspects of "Fury" is its dynamite score by "Gravity" composer Steven Price. Price rose through the ranks, first acting as the kind of go-between when a famous group or artist was called in to do a score (this was his primary duty when he worked on things like "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World"). Then he started composing more of his own cues; his "bridge" capacity became more substantial and entrenched. (He shares a lot of songwriting credit with Basement Jaxx on "Attack the Block.") But then he started doing his own scores, including the hypnotic, heart-pounding score for "Fury." There are times when this movie is almost unbearably intense; Price has a lot to do with that.

9. If You're Worried About Missing It Because of Its Oscar Chances... Don't
Once upon a time, Sony was positioning "Fury" as a serious Oscar contender, with a prime time November release date and full-court marketing push. But then things got dialed back, with a mid-October release date and somewhat less substantial marketing attack. So if you were thinking about seeing "Fury" because of its eventual Oscar chances, please don't. It's just not that good. And fails to hit that sweet, inspirational spot most war movies have to achieve in order to receive Academy recognition (if there's one World War II movie that seems positioned to snap up all the Oscar nominations, it's "Unbroken," directed by Pitt's wife, Angelina Jolie). Move it along, nothing to see here...

10. It's L-O-N-G
It's only 134 minutes, which is shorter than "Gone Girl." But it's a far more grueling slog and feels much, much longer. When I emerged from the screening room, some of my loved ones failed to recognize me.

"It's not going to be live. We're going to do it like a little movie," Murray told Variety. "It won't have a format, but it'' going to have music. It will have texture. It will have threads through it that are writing. There will be prose."

He also noted it would have a "patina style and wit to it."

Murray has showed off his singing chops many times on film, television, and stage. A few examples:

'Captain America 3' May Feature Iron Man in Superhero Feud Plot

Posted:

Avengers"Batman vs. Superman"? Marvel hopes to up the ante with "Captain America vs. Iron Man."

That's the rumored plan for "Captain America 3," according to Variety, which reports that Robert Downey, Jr. is on the verge of signing a deal to join the film. And unlike in his own "Iron Man" movies, he may be kind of the bad guy.

The potential storyline could have potential ramifications for all of the movies in Marvel's Phase 3. The Civil War arc in the comic books pitted superhero against superhero after the passage of the Superhero Registration Act, which mandates anyone with superhuman abilities to register with the government and serve as law enforcement.

Steve Rogers aka Captain America (Chris Evans) is against the program, while Tony Stark supports it. Rogers is forced to go into hiding, turning Stark into his adversary. Other superheroes are caught in the middle of this moral and philosophical tug-of-war.

Downey's inclusion in "Captain America 3" is still not a done deal and it nearly flamed out in the early stages. At first, Downey's role was supposed to be a small one, but the actor lobbied for a bigger one - as well as a bigger, $40 million (plus) paycheck. Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter ordered Iron Man written out of the movie, but Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige fought hard to keep him in. Feige hopes to use this Civil War storyline as an engine to drive all of the Phase 3 movies, including "Ant-Man" and "Doctor Strange."

The Civil War plot could also bring in other Marvel characters for crossovers. There's been a lot of talk lately about trying to include Spider-Man in the Marvel-verse - though Sony is very much against the idea. Still, maybe there's a sliver of hope, as Marvel tweeted out this image to promote the relaunch of the Civil War comic series: A Marvel house divided - we can't wait.

The 20 Best 'Pulp Fiction' Quotes Ever, Ranked

Posted:

Best Pulp Fiction Quotes EverThe "King Kong of crime movies" is 20 years old today.

Rolling Stone gave "Pulp Fiction" that moniker upon its release, and it's hard to argue that the name doesn't still ring true two decades later. The Quentin Tarantino classic roared out of the gates after winning the Palme d'Or at Cannes, intertwining tales of violence and redemption in 1990s Los Angeles, much to the delight of the world.

And it seems the world has not forgotten.

"Pulp Fiction" is quoted endlessly even today -- yet it still (somehow) manages to remain fresh. The self-righteousness of Samuel L. Jackson's Jules Winnfield announcing itself at every turn, the quiet calm of Uma Thurman's Mia before the storm, or the deadpan humor of Bruce Willis's Butch.

To honor the 20th anniversary of "Pulp Fiction" and its collection of unforgettable characters and dialogue, here are the 20 best quotes from the crime classic. Ranked.

CAUTION: The below quotes contain explicit language. They're seriously NSFW.

Best of Late Night TV: Kristen Bell Shaved Dax Shepard's Butt to 'Funkytown,' Shia LaBeouf's Wild Arrest Story (VIDEO)

Posted:

If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.

Dax Shepard was on "Conan" Monday night (October 13), and you have to watch his talk about shaving his butt. Conan O'Brien asked about Dax's graphic full nude scene in "This Is Where I Leave You." Was it nerve-racking? Dax said he and Conan suffer from tall white guy syndrome - they have no butt cheeks. He did a lot of lunges and squats to prepare his butt. Dax said he doesn't have any hair on his butt cheeks but - as Andy Richter helpfully put it - "there's a forest in the valley." Dax added that his deep fear was that it would look like a werewolf trying to escape his butt crack. So he asked his wife Kristen Bell to help him, um, trim the forest. It was a terrible experience and he didn't want to give it to a stranger. Kristen was humming "Funkytown" as she trimmed him. The whole story is hilarious.
Shia LaBeouf, who is in the upcoming movie "Fury," was on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (with his new facial hair) talking about how all the guys in the cast tried to impress Brad Pitt. However, they were also forced to fist-fight with each other, which Shia said was a great bonding experience. Jimmy mentioned that his tooth is missing in the movie and Shia said that's real. He said he got the tooth removed for the movie. That was a real mission to take it out, he said. He found a guy in Reseda next to Radio Shack. He didn't ask too many questions. Haha.

Jimmy also noted that Shia seemed to go crazy since the last time he saw him. Shia talked about his arrest at the musical "Cabaret." Shia said he was coming back from Ireland visiting his girl. When you go to Italy you eat spaghetti, in Ireland you drink whiskey. He was drinking a lot during the World Cup ... then story goes on and on. You just have to listen to him tell it, then decide whether you believe it or not. It seems just a wee bit embellished.

Michelle Monaghan was also on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," promoting "The Best of Me," and she talked about the tiny Iowa town she grew up in and the charm of small-town parades. She also casually mentioned that she used to wrestle hogs. "I'm a blue-ribbon holder!" Nice! Her hair looks good like this, too, don't you think?

Zach Galifianakis was on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon and you can see how much weight he's lost. He looks great. But don't ask him about it, 'cause he'll just quip, "I'm dying." He also talked about just welcoming a baby boy; he realized when they were bathing once that his son's testicles fit perfectly in his belly button. There is a God! Zach also discussed his new movie, "Birdman," which was shot in only 30 days.
Also on "The Tonight Show," Casey Wilson shared her worst date story. She also talked about how she got married over the same weekend as Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, so she added Kimye to her own wedding. She then shared a great story about her father's Christmas gift. It'll make you smile - and laugh. Good stuff.

Over on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," Seth talked about Bill Hader's return to "Saturday Night Live" and how he was slightly hurt when he saw Stefon with two other guys on Weekend Update, but he always knew that was the deal when he married Stefon. Speaking of SNL, Fred Armisen was on the show, saying he opened a summer camp for cats. GENIUS. It's one where they get to just visit the suburban Chicago area. A lot of animals can't afford to travel and get to know other cities. Fred is one of the counselors, along with some cool, jaded older cats. Fred = amazing.

Russell Brand was on "Late Show With David Letterman" to talk about his book, "Revolution." The man just talks so fast and loud like he's doing a monologue for a Broadway show and has to play to the back of the house. Manic! Dave talked about Russell's past, he's been clean for 11 years.
Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters was also on Dave's show, talking about his 10-week-old daughter. He also has two other daughters, ages 8 and 5. His 8-year-old loves music. Sometimes his daughters' musical tastes are questionable. When Violet was 2 or 3 she would love to sing the "Rehab" song. Then a different "Rehab" song. The story goes on, it's pretty funny.
